WHY ALIGNIFY EXISTS

A better question led to a better solution.

Institutions dedicate significant time and effort to assessment. Faculty collect evidence, committees review findings, leaders prepare reports, and accreditation standards are addressed. Yet despite that investment, many institutions struggle to translate assessment into coordinated institutional improvement.

What if assessment became the engine that helps institutions understand themselves, improve continuously, and demonstrate mission fulfillment?

Answering that question required years of academic leadership, faculty collaboration, institutional practice, methodology development, and platform design.

The result is more than software. It is a complete institutional transformation framework built around shared methodology, meaningful evidence, and sustainable institutional capability.

WHERE ALIGNIFY BEGAN

Software architecture revealed the need for a shared assessment methodology.

Before the platform could work, meaningful assessment had to be clearly defined.

Alignify began as a software project designed to make assessment easier for faculty and institutions. As the platform architecture took shape, every feature raised a deeper question about evidence, measurement, interpretation, and improvement.

“Before I could explain how the software should work, I first had to explain how meaningful assessment should work.”

Those questions gradually became curriculum, a Faculty Assessment Institute, and the coherent framework now known as the Alignify™ Assessment Methodology.
